Fight Against Global Warming (FAGW)
Here are the 10 ways we are contributing to the fight against global warming:
Conserve Energy: by the use of energy-efficient appliances, turn off lights when not needed, and unplug electronics. Small actions add up, and collectively, they make a difference in reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Choose Renewable Energy: We’ve opted for clean energy sources like solar and wind power. If feasible, we consider installing solar panels on our home. Supporting renewable energy helps transition away from fossil fuels and mitigates global warming.
Eat Sustainably: We reduce our carbon footprint by making mindful food choices by Eating less meat, especially beef, which has a high environmental impact. we have chosen locally sourced, seasonal produce and support sustainable farming practices.
Plant Trees: Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Participating in tree-planting initiatives or creating a small garden with native plants is what we’ve done to achieve our contribution. Every tree planted contributes to carbon sequestration and helps combat climate change.
Be Water-Wise: We Conserve water to reduce energy use. Fixing leaks promptly, use water-saving appliances, and avoid wasting water. The energy required to treat and transport water contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
Advocate for Change: we do engage with our community, attend climate-related events, and advocate for policies that prioritize the environment. By raising awareness and demanding action, we can collectively drive positive change.
